Plan the integration around the client journeys your application needs to support, rather than around isolated endpoints.
Map Your Client Journeys
Identify the steps required for account onboarding, market discovery, funding, order placement, position management, and account history. Confirm which journeys are in scope for your partnership.
Define Your Application Boundary
Document what runs in your client application, what runs in your backend, and how each connects to Amana. Keep confidential partner credentials on your backend. Confirm the supported authentication flow before choosing how user-scoped access will work.
Plan for Changing State
Decide how your application refreshes balances, order status, positions, and transaction history. Confirm whether each workflow uses polling, streaming, or another supported mechanism; do not assume webhooks are available.
Handle Uncertain Outcomes
A network timeout does not establish whether a trading or funding request succeeded. Confirm how to retrieve the resulting state before retrying a request that could create a duplicate action. Use idempotency controls only where the endpoint explicitly supports them.
Define Operating Responsibilities
Agree who handles client support, account issues, trade investigations, funding exceptions, and incident escalation. Record those responsibilities before launch.
